Back to Central and West London Region >

Back in 1990 “ A” Branch IPA was an active branch with visits to Holland and other branches in the UK, and meeting visitors from abroad. However as the 90’s progressed it was apparent that our numbers were falling,  we were having problems with members attending meetings and getting involved with the branch.

On 21st October 1993 have a joint meeting was held at Wood Street Police Station on the best way of having a more active IPA Section  in London the idea was proposed to amalgamate the two Branches together. The City of London and the City of Westminster Branch. However as it was quite a long winded name and it was agreed by all for us to be Known as “ The Two Cities Branch “

The Two Cities Branch covers Central London and part of West London and the City of London. We do get a large numbers of visitors visiting our Region owing to the number of historical buildings i.e. Buckingham Palace and HM Tower of London.

London night life is now increasing with many shows, pubs and clubs and restaurants open till late, also recently the underground is now running 24 hours on Friday and Saturday nights .
