It was a typical summers day in the Lakes, overcast and light rain. We assembled at the Glenridding Jetty and boarded our boat.

Due to covid restrictions we would get an hour’s tour of the lake instead of the full two-hour trip. However, when we set sail, the rain disappeared but the skies were still overcast.

We were given a commentary as we went up the lake. The hour was over too soon and we were back at Glenridding. We were given an hour to look around before we were due at The Inn on the Lake for Tea.

Once back in the Hotel Robin Bell, Cumbria branch chair formally welcomed everyone

There were then presentations to: -

Jim Wilson 40-year membership certificate

Malcolm Parker 50-year membership certificate

And each of the branches represented were presented with a wooden Cumbria branch badge.

Merseyside presented Val Bassendale (the organiser and Branch Treasurer) with one of their Merseyside Branch presentation pieces and everyone attending was given a Merseyside branch badge.

And to end the day everyone enjoyed a sumptuous high tea.
